Builder's Biography
David Bachman does not look at his job as work, but rather as his life mission. Discovering at an early age the love of construction, every job he has ever had including summer jobs has been in home building and light commercial construction. After graduating with a degree in Economics from Colgate University in 1979, David has worked for production builders, light construction builders and custom builders in both Houston, TX and Pittsburgh. After a successful career as a manager, he started Bachman Builders in 1996 along with his wife, Deby. As a past president of the Builder's Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (www.pghhomebuilders.com), David is at the forefront of issues of construction codes, political legislation, and industry cooperation. As a long time member of peer group sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders, David keeps abreast with management and creative design improvements with builders from across the nation. For the past 15 years, David has volunteered extensively with Urban Impact Foundation (www.urbanimpactpittsburgh.org), an organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of "one person, one family, one block at a time" on Pittsburgh's North Side.
